Karate Austria General Assembly 2026 in Salzburg
On 29 May 2026, the General Assembly of Karate Austria, the Austrian karate federation, took place in Salzburg. The focus was on the review of the past association year, important organisational decisions and, above all, the new elections of the federation’s bodies for the upcoming term of office.
Rebels Karateclub was also represented in Salzburg. As a club that is engaged not only in competition but also in the structures of organised karate, actively helping to shape the federation is a genuine concern for us.
Commitment Beyond the Mat
Karate thrives not only on training and competition, but also on people who volunteer for the sport. Edvin Kuric, chairman and head coach of the Rebels, has been contributing to federation work for years - among other things as grassroots-sport officer of the Vienna State Federation of Karate-Do Clubs and as a member of the Grassroots Sport Commission of Karate Austria.
Grassroots sport in particular is a central building block for the future of karate: it creates access to the sport for all age groups and performance levels and forms the basis from which competitive success later develops.
New Elections as a Course for the Future
With the new elections, the federation sets the personnel course for the coming years. For Rebels Karateclub it is clear: we want to continue to contribute constructively and to actively shape karate in Vienna and Austria.
We warmly congratulate all newly and re-elected officials and look forward to continuing to work together for the benefit of Austrian karate.
