Training continues as usual over the holiday period.

Belt Examination – December 16, 2022

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the belt examinations for the athletes of Rebels Karateclub took place. All participants successfully passed the examination.

Under the direction of club president Edvin Kuric, the examination was conducted with club coach Mirza Zenkic. The examination was held according to the guidelines of the Austrian Karate Federation (Karate Austria).

Mirza Zenkic has practiced Tae-Kwon-Do for over 20 years and holds the 3rd Dan (black belt degree). The physical and conditioning performances particularly impressed the club coaches.

Belt Examination Date: December 16, 2022

The date for the examination has been set for Friday, December 16, 2022.

Please arrive on time for the examination and warm up independently.

Afterwards, the Christmas party will take place at the karaoke bar “Shangrila” in Erdberg, 1030 Vienna. We start there from 9:00 PM and are looking forward to seeing you.

Belt Examination – April 25, 2022

On Monday, April 25, 2022, the belt examinations for the athletes of Rebels Karateclub took place. All participants successfully passed the examination.

Club president Edvin Kuric and Carlos Posada, president of the Union Karateclub Kiai, conducted the examination according to the guidelines of the Austrian Karate Federation (Karate Austria). Elements from the areas of Kihon, Kumite and Kata were demonstrated.

Carlos Posada has practiced karate for over 25 years and holds the 2nd Dan in the Goju Ryu style. After the examination, the candidates were treated to a Goju Ryu kata demonstration by Carlos Posada.

Basic Coaching Course Successfully Completed

Club president Edvin Kuric has successfully completed the basic coaching course for coaches at the Federal Sports Academy Vienna with good results.

The final examination took place on March 14, 2022. Twenty-six athletes and coaches from various sports participated in the program.

We warmly congratulate Edvin Kuric and look forward to seeing how the new content will positively impact our training!

Trial Training

Rebels Karateclub is launching beginner courses and invites you to a free trial training!

Training times:

  • Monday: 8:00 – 9:30 PM
  • Friday: 5:30 – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday: 8:30 – 10:00 PM (USI course – also open as a trial session without USI registration)

Location: Drorygasse 8, right at the corner of Goellnergasse

You only need regular sportswear to start. We look forward to seeing you!
