In October 2023, the starting signal was given for the state coaching certification with a focus on karate at BSPA Graz! Club president Edvin Kuric was among those taking on this next major challenge.
Edvin Kuric brings not only his enthusiasm but also extensive experience from the world of karate to the program. His goal is to deepen his knowledge further and gain new insights.
What an exciting weekend! The 14th Karate Austria Day brought karateka from across Austria and beyond together in Villach.
One of the best aspects was the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new contacts in the karate world. The atmosphere was marked by mutual respect, team spirit and shared passion.
In early October, our club president Edvin Kuric proudly received his diploma as a state-certified coach specializing in athletics, fitness and coordination!
The ceremonial diploma presentation in Vienna was a special event that honored the hard work of all graduates.

A huge thank you goes to BSPA Wien and especially to Andreas Vock and Erwin Reiterer for their support. With his new diploma, Edvin brings enhanced expertise in athletics, fitness and coordination, which he directly applies to his work at the Rebels Karateclub.
On Monday, June 12, 2023, the belt examinations for the athletes of Rebels Karateclub took place. All participants successfully passed the examination.
Under the direction of club president Edvin Kuric, the examination was conducted with guest coach Carlos Posada. The examination was held according to the guidelines of the Austrian Karate Federation (Karate Austria). Elements from the areas of Kihon, Kumite and Kata were demonstrated.
After this outstanding success, the Rebels Karateclub celebrated together with the examinees and members at a gathering.
The Association of Viennese Karate-Do Clubs is our overarching association, of which all Viennese karate clubs are members. The main task of the association is to coordinate and support karate activities in Vienna.
One of the most important offerings of the association are the regional association training sessions, which take place regularly. As members, you have the opportunity to participate in these training sessions and learn from experienced karate instructors.

On Friday, December 16, 2022, the belt examinations for the athletes of Rebels Karateclub took place. All participants successfully passed the examination.
Under the direction of club president Edvin Kuric, the examination was conducted with club coach Mirza Zenkic. The examination was held according to the guidelines of the Austrian Karate Federation (Karate Austria).
Mirza Zenkic has practiced Tae-Kwon-Do for over 20 years and holds the 3rd Dan (black belt degree). The physical and conditioning performances particularly impressed the club coaches.
The date for the examination has been set for Friday, December 16, 2022.
Please arrive on time for the examination and warm up independently.
Afterwards, the Christmas party will take place at the karaoke bar “Shangrila” in Erdberg, 1030 Vienna. We start there from 9:00 PM and are looking forward to seeing you.
