The appointment of a data protection officer is not required for our association.

2. Principles of Data Processing

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. Processing is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

3. Contact Form

When you contact us via the contact form, the following data is collected:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Message

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

The data is used exclusively to process your enquiry and is deleted after the communication is concluded, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

To protect against spam, we use a honeypot method. No Google reCAPTCHA is used.

4. Business Data

In the course of our association activities, we process data of members, customers and business partners, in particular:

  • Contact data (name, address, email, phone)
  • Contract data (membership, services)
  • Payment data (bank details, invoices)

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract fulfilment) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation).

5. Retention Periods

  • Tax retention: 7 years pursuant to the Federal Fiscal Code (BAO)
  • General business data: 3 years after last contact, unless statutory retention obligations apply
  • Contact enquiries: Deletion after conclusion of communication

6. Server Log Files

Each time our website is accessed, the following data is automatically collected:

  • IP address
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Timestamp of access
  • Page accessed

This data is stored to ensure technical operation and protect against attacks.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the security and stability of the website).

Log files are automatically deleted after 14 days, unless security-relevant incidents have occurred.

This website uses HTTPS encryption to protect data transmission between your browser and our server.

9. Social Media Buttons (Shariff)

We use the privacy-friendly Shariff solution for social media buttons. No data is transmitted to social networks until you actively click a button. Only after clicking is a direct connection to the respective network established.

10. Web Analytics

If web analytics is configured, we use a self-hosted solution (e.g. Matomo) that processes all data on our own servers. IP addresses are anonymised. No data is shared with third parties.

13. Currency of this Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is currently valid. We reserve the right to amend it as necessary to adapt it to changed legal requirements or changes to our services.
